The Intra-Afghan Coalition for Discourse
Objectives:
First - Restoring the rights of all Afghan citizens, including the right to work, education, and training without any difference, distinction, or gender discrimination, and abolishing restrictions on women’s presence in society.
The coalition’s first goal revolves around the Afghan nation's human dignity—a dignity stipulated in the Quran that includes the civil and political rights of the country’s citizens. Prohibitions that call for the abolition of unnecessary sanctions and various discriminations, especially those targeting gender discrimination in Afghanistan, have no justification in any interpretations of the Quran and are contrary to the demands of our time and circumstances. They also counter the rights, laws, and bills of Afghanistan’s legal system, including the Constitution of the Republic of Afghanistan, which remains valid and enforceable until modified or replaced.
Second, an emergency Loya Jirga must be convened urgently to decide on the legitimacy of the system and to draft, ratify, and enact the Constitution of Afghanistan to end the monopoly of political power in the country.
The second goal of the coalition revolves around the institution of the state and the organization of its main legislative bodies. In the long term, the Afghan government can gain legitimacy by drafting, ratifying, and enacting a constitution that reflects the people's desires and guarantees their rights. In the current state of emergency, a Loya Jirga should be convened to save the country from stagnation and political isolation.
